Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Doodlescape: Arrow Puzzle ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you play on iPhone, iPad, or Android. The App is published by Box of Otters.
The Short Version
There is no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email, or phone number. Your progress lives on your device, and the whole game plays offline. The App is free and shows ads, so the ad and analytics services listed below collect some information from your device when you are online.
Information We Collect
- Advertising. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) mediation, which can show ads from Google AdMob, Unity Ads, and Pangle. To serve and measure ads, these networks may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android) where you allow it, other device identifiers, your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device model and operating system, and which ads you see and tap.
- Gameplay statistics. Google Analytics for Firebase records events such as app opens, levels started and finished, ads shown, and purchases, along with device model, operating system, App version, approximate country, and an app instance identifier. We use this to see which levels are too hard, where players stop, and how the App performs.
- Crash reports. Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the App crashes or hits a serious error. A report includes the error details, App version, device model, operating system, and an installation identifier.
- Ad measurement (Meta). The Meta (Facebook) SDK records app installs and app opens, plus in-app purchase events, so we can measure our own ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. It may collect your device's advertising identifier where you allow it, device model, operating system, IP address, and App version. There is no Facebook login in the App, and we never receive your Facebook account information. If you decline consent in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App turns off advertising identifier collection and automatic event logging for Meta.
- Game settings from our server. Firebase Remote Config lets us adjust things like how often ads appear or which seasonal skins are offered, without releasing an update. To do this it uses a Firebase installation identifier.
How Information Is Used
We use this information to show ads, including personalized (interest-based) ads where you allow it, to measure ad performance, to understand how the game is played so we can improve it, and to find and fix bugs. If you allow tracking, ad networks may link advertising data with data from other companies' apps and websites, as described in their own policies. We do not sell your information, and we do not receive your name or contact details from any of these services.
Playing Offline
Doodlescape works with no internet connection. While you are offline, no ads load and nothing is sent. Gameplay statistics recorded offline may be sent the next time your device connects.
Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases: coin packs, a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, and a one-time "No Ads + Coins" bundle. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and handled in the App through Unity In-App Purchasing. We never receive or store your payment card or financial details. The App only receives the confirmation it needs to deliver what you bought.
Game Progress and Virtual Items
Your progress, coins, skins, and settings are stored only on your device. We do not keep a copy on our servers, so deleting the App or switching devices resets them. A "Remove Ads" or "No Ads + Coins" purchase restores ad removal through your Apple or Google account. Coins are not restored.
Your Choices
Tracking on iPhone and iPad. The App asks before tracking. You can change your answer at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Advertising ID on Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. If you play from one of these regions, the App shows a consent form from Google before any ads load. You can accept, decline, or choose by purpose, and you can change your choice later from the privacy settings option in the App. Declining personalized ads does not stop the game, though you may see fewer or less relevant ads.
Limiting tracking does not remove ads. Buying "Remove Ads" turns off banner and between-level ads. Optional reward videos remain available.
Third-Party Services
Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), Unity Ads, and Unity In-App Purchasing: unity.com/legal
- Google AdMob and Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config): policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Pangle: pangleglobal.com/privacy
- Meta (Facebook SDK): facebook.com/privacy/policy
- Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Play: policies.google.com/privacy
We do not control how these third parties handle data.
Children's Privacy
Doodlescape is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will address it.
Data Retention and Requests
We do not keep personal data on our own servers. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for no more than 14 months, and Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days. Ad networks and Meta keep data according to their own policies. Because we have no account tied to you, the simplest way to remove the data on your device is to delete the App. For any other request, email us and include your device type so we can help.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
